Smuggled Drugs and Old Coins seized

On the First of June 2016 and during a routine inspection of a vessel arriving to Sharjah Creek, Police Authorities foiled a smuggling operation to bring  in 2,056 of historic coins from the second century of Hijra and 6,991.5 grams of Crystal narcotic substance. 


 Appreciating their efforts, the Sharjah Ports, Customs and Free Zones Authority honoured the Police Officers, where Mr. Jarsh Mohammed bin Jarsh , Director of Sharjah Creek Customs Centre  awarded three officer with Certificates of Appreciation. The honoured Officers were First Lieutenant Salem Mohammed Obaid Dasmal,  Staff Warrant Officer Saif Hammed Obaid Al Shamsi and First Warrant Officer Obaid Rashid Obaid Al Ali.


 Bin Jarsh  emphasized that all vessels  calling Sharjah Creek are submitted to intensive inspection aiming at protection of the community from the dangers narcotics and combating drug smuggling and finding out any narcotics or other goods that entering the country in unlawful way.
