Foundation Course for Customs Inspectors

On Jun 06 2024, The Sharjah Ports, Customs and Free Zones Authority (SPCFZA) has concluded the foundation Course for Sharjah Customs inspectors. Organized in collaboration with the Sharjah Police Science Academy, a key strategic partner to the SPCFZA, the course attracted participation from over 25 customs inspectors, all of them newly joined officers, from across customs centers in the Emirate of Sharjah.

The two weeks course took place in the Academy's halls. It included a series of lectures delivered by a team of experienced police officers, focusing on customs laws and their practical application in the realm of customs inspection.

Additionally, the course featured a practical session at the Container Customs Centre, aimed at training customs inspectors in manual and technologically advanced inspection methods, such as using radiography devices for scanning containers and other goods. The program also covered the operations room’s tracking and monitoring systems for shipments on trucks, complemented by hands-on exercises.
