Sharjah Ports, Customs and Free Zone Authority Wins 5 Awards in the Fifth Round of the Finance Excellence Performance Award

The Shrjah Ports, Customs and Free Zones Authority earned five awards of the Financial Performance Excellence (FEP) Award, organized by the Sharjah Finance Department(SFD). This was announced at a ceremony held to celebrate the winners of the fifth round of FEP Award on February 9^th 2023 at Al Qasimia University Theater.

Sheikh Khaled bin Abdullah bin Sultan Al Qasimi,  Chairman of Sharjah Ports, Customs and Free Zones Authority, received from Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud Al Qasimi, Chairman of SFD, five finance excellence awards from which three went to Sharjah International Airport Free Zone, being awards of; Leading Independent Entity in Auditing, Leading Independent Entity in Finance Innovation and Leading Independent Entity in Application of Budget standards.

 Hamriyah Free Zone was awarded the Leading Independent Entity in Financial Performance Award and Sharjah Ports was awarded the Leading Independent Entity in Excellence for Standards in Revenue Category.

 Amnah Al Mazimi (from Sharjah Ports) was awarded the distinguished comprehensive employee in the independent entities category.

HE Mohammed Meer Abdul Rahman Al Sarrah, Director of Sharjah Ports, Customs and Free Zones Authority and HE Saud Salim Al Mazrouei, Chairman of Hamriyah Free Zone and Chairman of Sharjah International Airport Free Zone attended the ceremony.

The award aims at promoting a culture of excellence in government financial performance.  It follows the requirements of the Sharjah government in developing the financial system and honouring distinguished institutions and individuals within finance in governmental, independent, and Emiri agencies for their efforts in improving resource management and preserving public funds.
